Proposals for knowledge of a sustainable future,
taking into account Asia's history and contemporary issues
Where is Asia's future headed? The currents of history have shaped us, and at our feet flows the legacy of our forebears. We seek to connect the past to the future, turning the pages of history to weave a vision for tomorrow.
In an era where universities struggle to meet contemporary needs, what wisdom should they spin for the future? What kind of academic institutions does Asia need now? Since 2011, we have been collaborating with the University of Tokyo Graduate School lecture series, engaging in dialogues with Asia's intellectuals to explore new frontiers of knowledge.
As national priorities overshadow international cooperation and global consensus becomes elusive, Asia, rooted in agrarian cultures of familial and communal love, holds immense potential for harmonious development. Despite low tax rates and limited public funds, we aim to pool wisdom through public-private collaboration for Asia's progress.
Life, aging, illness, and death are inevitable for all beings. We engage in meaningful dialogues about the essence of life and the inevitable cycles we all face, exploring the shared experiences of birth, aging, sickness, and death.
